    I’ve had a few conversations with friends recently which highlighted to me the terrible ways in which the media have portrayed single women and how we can find partners for life. I was talking with a friend about the series Sex and the City, which I really liked when I was younger. We both said that we had enjoyed it at the time but that we now realise how very damaging it could have been.

    The more I learn about how children work, in my childcare course, right from 0-3 through 8-12 and sometimes beyond, the more that I think that day care is the wrong place for our youngest children.     In my last article, I mentioned how exercise and healthy eating can help the whole family, once a new baby comes home. I also mentioned that I had done lots of batch cooking, prior to our daughter’s arrival. For those who aren’t sure about the term, “batch cooking” is making several large dishes, which can then be frozen in small portions and defrosted when required.
